Strong south winds will push water toward the coast, resulting in elevated water levels and large surf. The greatest impacts are expected around the times of three high tide cycles between 8 AM and 11 AM Thursday, 9 PM and 3 AM Friday and 8 AM and 11 AM Friday.

The advisory has been extended as a slow-moving front remains over the Kuskokwim Delta, allowing strong and gusty winds to persist longer. Gusty southeasterly winds begin increasing early Thursday morning. Gusts of 50 mph or greater will be likely through much of Thursday as a front stalls over the region. The winds will begin to subside by Friday afternoon.
