Isolated to scattered showers and possible thunderstorms are expected to move into the southern California coastal waters, north of Point Conception Friday morning into Friday afternoon. Thunderstorms will bring the threat of cloud to ocean lightning, locally gusty winds, heavy rain, small hail, and waterspouts. These conditions can create hazardous ocean conditions, especially for smaller vessels. Mariners are advised to have a plan to reach safe harbor quickly if thunderstorms develop. Another chance for more significant thunderstorms is expected Saturday evening through Sunday.
