WHEN: From 7 AM EST /6 AM CST/ this morning through this evening.
IMPACTS: Rip currents can sweep even the best swimmers away from shore into deeper water.
Small Craft Advisory from NWS Tallahassee FL
WHAT: North winds 20 kt with gusts 25 to 30 kt expected.
WHERE: Offshore Gulf waters from the Walton-Okaloosa County line to Apalachicola from 20 to 60 nautical miles out, Coastal waters from Mexico Beach to Okaloosa Walton County Line FL out 20 NM, and Coastal waters from Mexico Beach to Apalachicola FL out 20 NM.
WHEN: From 3 AM Monday to midnight CST Monday night.
IMPACTS: A Small Craft Advisory means that wind speeds of 20 to 33 knots, or seas of 7 feet or greater, are expected to produce hazardous conditions for small craft. These hazardous conditions may result in poor vessel handling and steering response, broaching, overturned dinghies and kayaks, slips and falls on slippery decks, rub damage along docks and seawalls, and dragging anchors.
