WHAT: Northeast winds 30 to 40 mph with gusts up to 80 mph expected. Wind chill values falling to between -10 and -20F this morning.
WHERE: Matanuska Valley.
WHEN: Until 1 PM AKST this afternoon.
IMPACTS: High winds may move loose debris, damage property, and cause power outages. Travel will be difficult. Cold temperatures combined with strong winds could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS: Strong northeast winds will continue through Monday morning. Areas of blowing snow and dust with reduced visibilities are possible.
