Dangerously hot conditions with high temperatures ranging from the mid 80s to lower 90s at the beaches to the mid 90s to around 100 for the mesas and other higher coastal terrain. Nights will be very warm with low temperatures in the upper 60s to mid 70s.

IMPACTS
Heat related illnesses increase significantly during extreme heat events.
Recommendations
Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Do not leave young children and pets in unattended vehicles. Car interiors will reach lethal temperatures in a matter of minutes. Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution.

Minor coastal flooding and dangerous rip currents expected due to the combination of high tides and elevated surf.
WHERE
San Diego and Orange County Coastal Areas.
WHEN
From Tuesday afternoon through Friday evening.
IMPACTS
Minor coastal flooding and minor coastal erosion is possible during high tides, most likely during the evenings.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS
Elevated surf of 3-5 feet on south and southwest-facing beaches. High tides are expected to peak between 6.5 and 7.0 feet during the evenings.
Recommendations
A beach hazards statement is issued when threats such as strong rip currents and other hazards are possible. Caution should be used when in or near the water.
